Miami-Guide to Miami Florida

Miami is a city in the southeast of Florida in the United States of America. The city is the second largest in the state of Florida and it is home to a population of 362,470 inhabitants. Miami rests between the Florida Everglades and Biscayne Bay and it boasts a pleasant subtropical climate. Summers are often humid within the city, while winters are generally dry. Snowfall is extremely rare in the city and Miami has only seen two flurries since the 1830s. Miami is a bustling, multicultural city, which boasts an abundance of attractions to suit all tastes.

Miami is renowned for its long, golden beaches ? the most famous of which is South Beach in the Miami Beach area. From here, visitors can indulge in all manner of adventurous water sports, or simply enjoy the sunshine and work on their tan! One of Miami?s most popular attractions is Miami Metrozoo, which is a modern zoo that features a wide variety of animals. Another attraction to keep animal lovers interested is the Miami Parrot Jungle and Gardens, which features a stunning array of tropical birds and plants.

For those with an interest in art, Miami is home to a large number of museums featuring an eclectic mixture of styles. Some notable galleries include: the Miami Art Museum, the Bass Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). The city is also home to some beautiful architecture and the areas of Espanola Way, Collins/Washington Avenues, Museum and Flamingo Park combine to make Miami?s Art Deco District. Tours of the area are organised by groups hoping to preserve the beautiful buildings.

Miami offers family?fun, stunning beaches and fascinating culture; but many people loose their hearts to the city thanks to its vibrant, party atmosphere. The streets of South Beach are constantly teeming with fun-seekers, while the Design District offers an abundance of live venues. The Downtown Miami area is fast becoming the place to be seen for all fashionable revellers.
