Ankara: Preserving the History

Turkey's one of the oldest cities Ankara located near the center of country is the capital of Turkey. It was founded in 2000 BC. After its recognition as the capital of republic of Turkey in 1923, its modern prominence got manifested. Ulus is the most interesting part of Turkey. It is built on hills. The steep and winding streets of the Ulus impart it a different characteristics.

The fortress Kale overlooks the city. Several remains of Roman tines are one of the interesting characters of Ankara. The Augustus temple is one special legacy that attracts visitors to the city. tomb of Haci Bayram and his mosque just beside the temple exits there as people's religious faith.

Anatolian Civilization Museum exists at Kale which you should not miss out on visiting. It contains wonderful evidences of Turkey's interesting history of Turkey. Mausoleum of Ataturk also deserves to be visited and revisited. Atat?rk is the founder of the Republic of Turkey and the first President. In the series of museums the Cengelhan Rahmi M. Koc Museum is another one that displays huge variety of exhibits on such diverse themes as Engineering, Road Transport, Scientific Instruments, Maritime, Medicine, and many others.
