Motor Home Travel - How to Rest Easy

Experienced motor home travelers know how to make their RV as comfortable as staying at home. They have learned not only all of the driving, storage, and maintenance tips, they also know what to pack and how to sleep comfortably. Sleeping in the motor home may not be something that you have given a lot of thought to, but it is actually a very important factor not only in the selection of your RV, but also in they way that you outfit it. After all, a third of our time is spent sleeping.

The bed in a motor home is different than the one in your home-the mattress size and thickness, and also the construction of it. This is why it should be an important consideration as you shop around. If you need a premium mattress and the one in the motor home you are looking at is just basic, you may want to upgrade the mattress or the RV. Test out the bed in any RV that you are looking at by actually lying down on it, not just looking at it or sitting on it.

After you have purchased your motor home, you should probably take it out for only a few days the first time to see if you are comfortable with everything. If you are, then great, you are a ?natural? RVer. If not, there are some things you can do to be more comfortable when you sleep. Try getting a mattress cushion for added softness, or a special pillow to ease any neck or back pain you may be experiencing.

If all of the mechanical noises from the generator, air conditioner, etc. are bothering you, you may want to invest in some ear plugs, a fan, or even a ?white sound? machine to drown out the noises.
