Park City

Park City is located in Utah, near Salt Lake City. It began as a small mining town in 1869, and later became a booming city. By 1900, Park City grew to house more than 10,000 residents and 100 saloons. Today, Park City is the second largest producer of silver in the United States.

Park City is located near some of the best skiing locations available. With its prime location, people visit Park City in order to relax and partake in various winter activities, such as skiing and snowboarding. The winter sport attractions of Park City gained world recognition in 2002 when the city hosted the Olympic winter games.

With the tourist appeal of Park City, the growth of the hotel and resort industries here is on the constant rise. In fact, other than mining, tourism is the primary source of income of Park City.

With its mild summers, golf has become a popular summer activity in this region. The Park City golf club is consistently ranked as the best golf course in the intermountain region.

This golf course was first built in 1963 as a nine-hole course, and was later turned into a full 18-hole course in 1976. The great William Neff was the one who personally redesigned the original course, and turned it into what it is now.

With its location, and high elevation this area is usually 10-15 degrees cooler than most places during the summer. This is an important appeal to most people who do not find hot weather appealing. The high elevation of this golf course also adds distance to your shot due to the thinner air.
