Bridal Shower Party Games
Playing games during a bridal shower are a great way to get guests involved and for everyone to have a great time. As a host, it's always a compliment to hear guests talk about the party you threw in glowing terms. One way to get there is to create fun and inventive games to play.
One entertaining game is fashioned after The Newlywed Game. The maid of honor or another member of the bridal shower calls the groom to ask specific questions pertaining to his relationship with his future bride. At the party, the bride is asked the same questions and tries to get as many as the same answers the groom gave correct. In a slight variation, the bride can compete against the other women who know the groom the best (perhaps his mother, his sisters or another close friend or relative).
If you would like a game that is a bit more personal between the bride and her guests, try the "Memory Game". Guests are asked to write down a specific memory that happened between the bride and themselves on an index card, without including their name. The bride then reads the cards aloud and tries to guess who wrote each card. The bride is then free to keep the cards as a sort of keepsake. If you wish, you can buy an album to place the cards into so that the bride can keep it as a memory book.
Games that promise prizes for the winner are a great way to get the guests involved. Make sure that you pick prizes everyone can use such as lotions or stationary. Wrap the prizes in colorful cellophane or tissue paper. Tie a ribbon around the top of each and allow winners to choose their own prize without knowing what it is.
