Cultural Enjoyment at Frankfurt
You will discover Frankfurt tourist attractions to be interesting and engrossing. What is most striking about Frankfurt is its open and hospitable atmosphere with people from diverse cultural backgrounds living in peace and harmony. The sightseeing of Frankfurt begins with its exquisite architecture. The bold high-rise architectures have a distinctiveness about them, which makes them stand apart. Opposite to the high-rise buildings, on the other side of the Main, you get to see an attraction, which is unique by itself ? a set of 13 museums. All have been developed to highlight different works of art, which range from the classical to the modern.
The Frankfurt tourist attractions are not limited to the imposing skylines but also offer many other facets of the contrasting variety. Ebbelwei pubs near to the skyscrapers at the heart of the city center are a major draw for the tourists. In and around Frankfurt you can even go on interesting excursion tours.
The starting point for old and new tourists to Frankfurt is the Cathedral (Dom), the 95m high tower that rises gigantically over the Frankfurt city center. It was not the home of a bishop as the name might suggest, but the place where ten emperors were crowned between 1562 and 1792. Visitors can climb up the tower between April and October. An attraction just beside the Cathedral is the Archaeological Garden, which has excavations of a Roman settlement. Opposite to the Tower of the Cathedral is the ?Canvas House?. Tourists are attracted here today because of its art gallery. For a view of the old part of the city, pay a visit to the Historical Museum, situated directly behind the Old Nikolai Church.
Apart from these views, a tourist can also enjoy the hospitality of Frankfurt hotels and the numerous bars and restaurants all over the city. An interested traveler is sure to find something for his/her personal taste throughout the night.
